This Indenture made the second Day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and four Between Joseph Reeves of the County of Gloucester and State of New Jersey and Sarah his wife and Benjamin Reeves and Keziah Reeves Administrators of all and singular the Goods and Chattles, Rights and Credits of Thomas Reeves late of said County Deceased of the one part. And Samuel Reeves of the Township of Evesham in the County of Burlington and State aforesaid of the other part. Whereas the said Thomas Reeves in his lifetime and at the time of his Death being seized in fee of and in one equal moiety of three several pieces or tracts of pine land and cedar swamp situate in the Township of Washington and County of Burlington the first contains about fifty acres the second contains about thirty four acres the third contains about fifteen acres more or less: It being the same land and premises that Thomas Reeves Father of the said Thomas Reeves Deceased and the said Joseph Reeves purchased of Joseph Imlay Esqr then High Sheriff of the County of Burlington by Deed under his hand and seal to the said Thomas Reeves the elder duly executed Bearing date the fifteen day of November Anno Domini One thousand seven hundred and seventy as by Reference to the same will appear and Whereas the said Thomas Reeves the younger being so thereof seized departed this natural life intestate, and the particular circumstances of his personal estate rendered it necessary for his Administrators the said Benjamin Reeves and Keziah Reeves (wis widow) to sell and dispose of so much of his real estate as would be sufficient to pay his debts, therefore said Administrators after exhibiting a just and true account of the debts and Credits of said Deceased as near as they could discover the same by their petition to the judge of the Orphans Court of the said County of Burlington in the Term of November One thousand eight hundred and three setting fourth that the said Thomas Reeves younger died seized of considerable real estate in the said County of Burlington and praying the said Court to authorize them to sell and dispose of so much of the said real estate as would be sufficient to satisfy the debts aforesaid therefore the said Court after hearing the said petition and examining the accounts exhibited by said Administrators which appeared to be right and true, was of opinion that the prayer of said petition ought to be granted they therefore ordered and decreed the said Administrators to sell and dispose of all or so much of said real estate as would be sufficient to satisfy the debts aforesaid as by reference to the minutes of the said Orphans Court of the said County of Burlington will appear and the said administrators in pursuance of said decree exposed the said lands and real estate to public sale on a certain day by them appointed having advertised the same at least two months previous to the day of sale and the said Samuel Reeves bidding the sum of three dollars and one cent per acre for one equal moiety of the said thirty four acres which appears on a strict calculation to contain thirty four acres two roods and fourteen perch and no person or persons appearing to bid so much or more the same was publicly cryed off by the cryer of the vendue in open day to the said Samuel Reeve for the price aforesaid. Now This Indenture witnesseth the said Joseph Reeves in his own right and the said Benjamin and Keziah Reeves Administrators aforesaid In pursuance of the special power and authority in said Decree to them given as well as for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and four dollars and ten cents specie to them in hand paid or secured to be paid by the said Samuel Reeves and that at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Joseph Reeves Benjamin Reeves and Keziah Reeves doth hereby own ad acknowledge themselves fully paid and satisfied and thereof doth acquit exonerate and forever discharge him the said Samuel Reeves his heirs executors administrators and every of them by these presents hath granted bargained sold aliened, enfeof released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do clearly and absolutely grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release convey and confirm unto him the said Samuel Reeves his heirs and assigns forever all and singular the said thirty four acres two roods and fourteen perch of land situate in the said township of Washington and County aforesaid Bounded as follows viz Beginning at a Pine standing at the south end of an Island called Jordans Pasture corner to Cedar Swamp surveyed to John Morrow from thence North forty seven degrees east eleven chains to a cedar corner Reeves other land thence north thirty three degrees east twelve chain to Sassafrass corner to said Monrow and Joseph Burr thence north eighty five degrees west twelve chain to a pine thence west eleven chains to a pine thence south thirty one degrees west fourteen chain to a cedar corner to said Monrow thence south sixty seven degrees east sixteen chains and eighty links to the place of Beginning containing thirty four acres two rood and fourteen perch of land as aforesaid be the same more or less. Together with all and singular the rights powers priviledges commodities hereditaments and appurtenances unto the same belonging or in anywise appertaining and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever in law or equity of him the said Joseph Reeves or his Brother the said Thomas Reeves deceased with the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues profits thereof and every part and parcel thereof. To have and to hold all and singular the hereby granted and bargained premises as the same is above Bounded unto him the said Samuel Reeves his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Samuel Reeves his heirs and assigns forever and the said Joseph Reeves for himself his heirs executors administrators and the said Benjamin and Keziah Reeves administrators aforesaid do covenant grant and agree to and with the said Samuel Reeves his heirs and assigns in manner and form following that is to say at the time of the sealing and delivery of these presents he the said Joseph Reeves in his own right as aforesaid and the said Benjamin and Keziah Reeves administrators aforesaid by virtue of the decree aforesaid hath good right full power lawful and absolute authority to grant bargain and sell the same unto him the said Samuel Reeves his heirs and assigns in manner and form aforesaid and the same in the peacible and quiet possession of him the said Samuel Reeves his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend provided that nothing in this deed contained shall be construed to effect the persons or estates of the said administrators But only the estate of the intestate. In witness whereof the said Joseph Reeves Benjamin and Keziah Reeves hath hereunto set their hands and seal the day and year first above written.

Be it Remembered that on the 4th day of June 1804 Personally came before me the subscriber one of the judges of the Inferior Court of Common Pleas in and over the County of Burlington Joseph Reeves and Sarah his wife Benjamin Reeves & Keziah Reeves the grantors in the within deed of conveyance and severally acknowledged they signed sealed and delivered the same as their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned Sarah the wife the said Joseph Reeves being by me examined separately and apart from her said husband acknowledged she executed the same of her own free will and accord without any restraint of her said husband.
