The above are the children of Allen Reeves as named in York District probate records of his estate.

It would appear that Allen Reeves was a son of Malachi Reeves of Granville County, North Carolina. At the time Allen became an adult and married, the only Reeves appearing in Granville County were the families of Malachi, Burgess and a Samuel Reeves whose connection to this family is unknown.

Research Notes:
Per Tommie R. Smith - Mrs. Iris Mayo of Hurst Texas, a descendant of Allen Reeves and author of Those Reeves Girls, traveled to both North and South Carolina researching this family extensively. She reported that Allen at one time left South Carolina and settled in Georgia, moving back to South Carolina before his death. (There is no documentation available of this supposed move.)
