Research Notes
This may be the son of Silas Reeves. Note that this Silas's son Eden was married in Morris County, New Jersey where that elder Silas was living when he died. Another possibility is that he is the son of Manassah, the presumed brother of Silas Reeves of Morris County. Both of these men lived in Morris County and had sons named Silas.Silas's wife was probably Rhoda. Silas and Rhoda of Genoa, Cayuga County executed several deeds, one dated 1810. Rhoda executed another one in around 1817 in which she is referred to as wife of Silas. Oddly it doesn't say that Silas is deceased, so more research needs to be done on this. If this is the case, she may also be the Rhoda Reeves who showed up later on the 1830 census in Tompkins County, New York which is where Silas's possible brother Moses had lived.
