This Moses appears to be the Moses Reeve living next to Benjamin C. Reeves in the 1820 census. The younger Moses, probably Moses Jr., was living next to Benjamin in 1830.
Letters of Administration for Moses Reeves of Tompkins County, New York were granted to Mehitable Reeves, Thomas Kelsey and Jonah Moore, of Lansing, Tompkins County on 26 Feb 1825.
Given that his wife was named Mehitable and was born in New Jersey, this appears to be the same as Moses son of Silas Reeves of Morris County, New Jersey. He appears in tax records in Roxbury, Morris County, New Jersey through 1797 but was gone by 1802. There is a deed from 1801 in which Moses and Mahitable Reeves of Chester, Morris County, sold some land in Chester.
The following is from Early Partition Deeds, Tompkins County:
REEVES, — Lansing Jan. 28, 1826
Edmund Woolly & wife, Experience, one tenth.
Henry Weatherby & wife, Marada, one tenth.
Mehitabel Reeves, one tenth.
Stephen Reeves, one tenth.
Levi Reeves, one tenth.
William K. Reeves, one tenth.
Elias Reeves, one tenth.
Patience Reeves, one tenth.
Moses Reeves, a minor, one tenth.
Benjamin Wager, Nelson Wager, Mary Ann Water, all minors, to share one tenth between them.
Francis Drake Guardian of all minors.
An 1829 deed from Elias Reeves of Lansing, his wife Mabel and Mehitable Reeves identifies Elias as a son of Moses. It states the land was "allotted to the said Elias as his share of his father Moses Reeves estate by Jonah Moore William Hunter and Jehiel Ludlow commissioners."
In an 1835 deed, a younger Moses, his wife Susan, and Mehitable Reeves, all of Lansing, sell some land. This likely indicates this younger Moses was a son of this Moses.
An 1845 deed from Ebenezer Brown to Charles N. Wager states that Ebenezer's present wife Experience was a daughter of Moses Reeves. A later deed indicates that she was formerly surnamed Woolly and therefore must have remarried.
The widow Mehitable appears to be living in the household of Francis and Patience Woolly. She was age 87, born in New Jersey. She died 27 Aug 1850, age 87, and weas buried in the Ludlowville Pine Grove Cemetery, Tompkins County, where her grandson Nelson was also buried.
