This Jonathan is listed as Jonathan Reeve Jr. in the April 1760 Militia List for Suffolk County, age 16 1/2. It states he was a blacksmith and born in Suffolk County.

This also appears to be the Jonathan Reeve living in Southold in the 1776 census with two boys and one girl under 16.

Jonathan also appears in Paul Reeve's Southold Militia Company:

• Jonathan Reeve, 5 ft. 8, dark, age 32.

He is in the 1790 census with 2 males above 16, one under, and three females.

Jonathan Reeve of Riverhead, New York wrote his will on 8 Apr 1823 and it was proved 29 Jul 1823. He mentioned wife Sarah, children Daniel, Charity Corwin, Experience Reeve (wife of Ezra Reeve), and grandchildren David Reeve, Jonathan Reeve, Daniel H Reeve, and Barnabas Corwin. He also mentions son-in-law Daniel Corwin who was one of the executors.

Jonathan was buried at Aquebogue. The headstone indicates he was age 80, which helps match him to the Jonathan who appears in Suffolk County records earlier.
