The estate of Elias Reeve was filed in July 1843. Zadoc made a statement in 1838 that Garrett W. and Joel Reeve, two of the heirs of Elias, were not residents of Indiana. The bond for Jemima gaining administration on Elias's estate is dated 30 Jul 1839. The petition to sell the real estate was filed 23 May 1838. In it Jemima states her husband was Elias Reeve. She also stated that he left heirs at law: Zadoc Reeve, Garrett W. Reeve, Polly M. Kelly, Elias Reeve Jr., Joel Reeve, Jonas Reeve, and David Reeve "all of whom reside in Vigo County Indiana, except said Garrett W. Reeve, who resides in the State of New York." The name of the so David is given as "David G Reeve" in his receipt.
Research Notes
This may be a brother to David Reeve and Solomon T Reeve. David mentions a brother named Elias. Notably Solomon was living next door to a Zadock Reeve in 1820 in Riverhead, New York who may be their father.Sources
