       In obeisance to the decree of this Honorable Court made in above case 28 Novr 1844 the Comr Reports that after duly advertising he exposed to sale at public outcry at Lancaster C. H. On the 1st Monday the 6th Jany. 1845 the following real or personal Estate belonging to James Reeves (decd) & that the same was purchased as follows -
Tract A. Being the plantation called the Mike Horton tract containing 525 acres more or less adjoining Lands of Susan Caston, M. Horton, Thos L. Clyburn, Brewer & John Baskin as per pat made by B. J. Blackman D. S. Decr 1843 bid off by John Reeves for the sum of one thousand Eight hundred & two Dollars -
Tract B. Containing 78 acres more or less adjoining Lands of Ellenor Blackmon, Amos Blackmon, Susannah Baskin & B. J. Blackmon was bid off by Thos. Flemming for the sum of Two Hundred & ten Dollars 50 cts, -
Tract C. Containing 200 acres more or less adjoining lands of James Baskin, Jno. J. Blackmon, E. Blackmon, & others was purchased by James A Blackmon for the sum of Eight hundred Dollars -
Tract D. Containing 201 Acres more or less adjoining Lands of D. Haile, Susannah Baskin, Elisha Garris, James C. McMullan & John Taylor, was purchased by John Taylor for the sum of Two Hundred Dollars 01 cent -
The Comr further reports that each of the aforesaid purchases were the highest or last bidder for the respective tract purchased by them & that he has executed to each a conveyance for these respective tracts purchased by them, they having complied with the terms of Sale,
The Comr further reports that at the same time & place he exposed to sale the following slaves, viz.
Ann bid off Elisha Reeves for the sum of$ 325.00
Wylie bid off Elisha Reeves ” ” ” ”$ 250.00
Merenda bid off by Eb. C. Bishop$ 406.00
& that each of said purchases were the highest or last bidder therefor -
The Comr. Further reports that the gross amount of the sale, aforesaid is the sum of Three Thousand Nine hundred & Ninety three Dollars, 51 cents & that after deducting & paying out the sum of one hundred & three Dollars costs of suit he holds the Bonds of the purchases aforesaid for the sum of Three Thousand Eight Hundred & ten Dollars 57 cents - Nine hundred & forty Nine Dollars of which is payable at 12 months with Interest from 6 January 1845 - Eleven hundred Dollars 01 cent payable at 1 & 2 years with Interest from 6 January 1845 the proceed of the sale aforesaid an to effect a perfect equality between the Legatees of Testator - The testator James Reeves had given off to a part of his children property as may be seen in the Return of the Comr & the recommended to be vested in others certain other slaves as appears therein & recommends that the proceeds of the sales of the Land & negroes be made so as to effect that equality between the Legatees as testator directs by his will - The following statement will show the whole Estate Each legatee’s share rttn equalization thereof, Negroes belonging to testator at his death & appraised by the Comrs as -$5750.00
